The 19th Century Victorian Mansion is located in the Killarney National Park, a 2 min drive from the hotel. It has a beautiful lakeside setting with lavish gardens that are a must see. The well preserved ruin of Muckross Abbey, founded in 1448 as a Francisan Friary, is just a 5 minute walk from Muckross House also.
Killarney is famous for it’s three stunning lakes which are part of the Killarney National Park; Lough Leane, Muckross Lake and Upper Lake. They provide some of the most stunning vistas in Killarney.
Ross Castle is a 15th Century Towerhouse that lies on the edge of one of Killarney Lakes, Lough Leane.
Torc Waterfall is a stunning Waterfall situated just 2.5 km from the entrance to Muckross House. The base of Torc Waterfall is a short walk that can be reached in just five minutes from the car park through a beautiful forest area. The Viewpoint can be reached within 30 minutes.
